Looking to sell my 1976 Schiada 21 river cruiser, Here is some info, I bought boat as a turnkey deal several years ago, it had a Brummett twin turbo bbc in it, started taking it apart, one thing lead to another and here we are today.
Wanted to go thru the boat and do some updates, lengthen the rear plates and more turnbuckles change v drive location, change strut angle, fin location, engine location, and upgrade to all stainless under water gear. Took it to Scott Kornowski in Havasu and he gave the full treatment. He cut the deck off, replaced every piece of wood in the boat, stringers, transom, floors, dash, and added extra bulkheads in front. Re gel coated top and bottom and capped at the same time. The rear lower section under the boat was blue printed from previous owner, Scott looked it all over and re sprayed speed coat. Not one hole has been drilled in the boat yet and inside of boat is stunning. I did not want balsa floors or to have the stringers coated black, the idea was to show how nice a refinished interior would look with nice rigging and glass work (nothing to hide idea) when redone. The strip down center was built up flat so drop thru strut and fin, steering stuffing box would sit flat. Was going to put a different Brummett twin turbo deal back in it, with polished th 400 and have everything exposed, polished components and just nice clean rigging and no hatch.
The trailer is a nice 1988 R&S trailer (tandem) that would need a repaint and finished up and blinged out however you like, I was going to do a triple axle conversion setup on it, just never got that far
I have all the original rigging that came out of it, z rails, motor plates, electric cav underwater gear in stainless so original hardware still comes with it . The v drive was gone thru by Casale by previous owner, only thing that was reused was case halves, I have the paperwork on it
Boat had the interior redone by Schiada around 1998 and was built with a twin turbo hatch, two buckets, rear bench, and side panels. The wood frames of seats , webbing, and foam is like new, vinyl (white) is a little sun faded so the vinyl will need a redo.
The dual cable steering system was rebuilt by Phil at Bergeron (RIP) at Bergeron engineering, and he added one new NOS cable that he had, Has a new Bergeron steering post, wheel adapter and steering wheel, electric trim tab switch was routed thru the steering post as well and made a little longer to boot, not sure if I was going to do a foot down pedal or not but still had it done.
Also had a new set of IMCO large aluminum gas tanks made for it, Scott built the bulkheads and fit the tanks. Final installation is not completed o, layout of gas fills or fuel pickups, I was going to have fuel fills inside of boat.
Boat still has the no skid on deck and is in very good shape, no skid on gunnels had to be sanded off and re gelled, Scott tried quite a few times to save it but couldn’t pull it off with results he was happy with.
Comes with no motor and core th400 will be provided.
Boat is located in Lake Havasu, AZ, I live in Idaho, call for more info or questions, asking 58k, I’m in it more than that! Call Tim Ketlinski 208 850 2319 MT time
